The website of The Holy Art – an international contemporary art gallery representing artists from around the world at all stages of their careers – has published a feature on artist Le Trang and her two artworks chosen for exhibition at Paris Open Art 2025, organised by The Holy Art.
“Artist Le Trang was born in 1987 and is based in Ho Chi Minh City. Through her paintings, she offers a multi‑layered perspective on contemporary Vietnamese society, culture and gender. On large canvases, using her own impressionist‑inspired colour‑blending technique, she brings new dimensions to familiar concepts and long‑told stories.
Her creative inspiration draws from a rich cultural heritage – from the depth of Vietnamese artistic and craft traditions to ancient landscapes, renowned artisans, and native weaver birds. This distinctly eclectic combination has shaped works that reflect, with nuance and authenticity, the aesthetic context and deep historical identity of Vietnam.
Beyond her close engagement with cultural heritage, Le Trang’s art is distinctive in the way it gives voice to those who have at times been muted within the many‑layered chorus of contemporary society. Through multi‑layered brushstrokes on canvas, she weaves together different narratives, inviting viewers to contemplate the past, the complexity of memory, and the things that deserve to endure.”
Held from 17 to 20 October, Paris Open Art 2025 is an annual event organised by The Holy Art, attracting more than 20,000 artists and over 500,000 visitors worldwide across more than 20 cities.
The two artworks by Le Trang selected for display at Paris Open Art are Daydream (2025, 130×185cm) and The Touch (2025, 110×160 cm).
