“Daydream Among Blossoms” – the gentle painterly dream of artist Lê Trang is the title of an article published in Văn Hóa Newspaper on the evening of January 14.
Journalist An An writes: Not only does the exhibition mark an important milestone in the creative journey of a young artist, it also opens up an artistic space imbued with a distinctly feminine sensibility, rich in emotion and deeply infused with the spirit of Vietnamese culture.
At the exhibition’s opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thế Kỷ – Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and Head of the Department of Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism – stated:
“…The paintings of artist Lê Trang vividly reflect the country and people of Vietnam, especially the image of Vietnamese women—gentle, fresh, possessing emotional depth and a character that is unmistakably Vietnamese.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thế Kỷ further observed that in Lê Trang’s paintings, humans and nature are always closely intertwined; plants, grass, and flowers appear as integral parts of spiritual life.
These very elements form a cultural identity, so that when the artworks are introduced to the world, viewers can recognize the Vietnamese cultural foundation within them. From images of the ancient capital of Huế, the Imperial Citadel, and traditional áo dài to graceful young women, Lê Trang’s paintings not only tell an aesthetic story but also evoke profound cultural depth.
