On 20 October, on the sidelines of the Paris Open Art 2025 exhibition organised by The Holy Art in France, artist Le Trang gave an inspiring interview to Phụ Nữ Việt Nam newspaper. In the conversation, she affirmed: “The strength of Asian women artists lies in their feminist voice.”
For Le Trang, feminism does not manifest through toughness, grit or aggressiveness, but through grace in appearance and gentleness in conduct – qualities that Vietnamese women have embodied for generations. She believes that the desire to take control of one’s life is a legitimate aspiration for all women, regardless of circumstance. Yet even when pursuing their passions and turning dreams into reality, women do not need to change their “exterior” to appear strong or independent.
“I believe women have always been the embodiment of beauty. If a woman is gentle, she will naturally be cherished. As women, we should use our femininity and softness to navigate challenges, difficulties, and even conflicts in life. Whether as business leaders, wives or mothers, every role offers space for us to show patience, compassion and boundless sacrifice,” Le Trang shared.

Each Vietnamese woman who “steps into the world” through Le Trang’s paintings – whether portrayed as a “dreamy lady” or in a self‑portrait – is illuminated by the surrounding natural light, revealing the inner radiance of the Vietnamese spirit. “It is precisely this quality that has earned ‘her’ the recognition of curators and art lovers internationally,” Le Trang affirmed.
