“The exhibition space of ‘Daydream Among Blossoms’ offers many visitors a moment of stillness amid the rush of urban life. Moving from one painting to the next, viewers can easily sense the gentleness of the colours, the familiarity of the female figure, nature and the idea of home — as if touching their own cherished memories.”
This was the observation made by journalist Minh Vu of Lao Động newspaper when reflecting on Le Trang’s exhibition “Daydream Among Blossoms”.
“The exhibition presents 36 oil paintings across four collections: HUE HERITAGE, MOTHERHOOD, HOME and STILL LIFE. Rather than depicting reality in a literal manner, Le Trang chooses an expressive approach, blending colour, form and inner emotion to create a pictorial world that is soft, contemplative and quietly resonant.
In her work, the Vietnamese woman appears gentle yet never subdued, carrying with her a sense of poise, character and cultural depth. For the artist, painting is not merely a personal narrative but also a way of telling the story of Vietnam through memory, feeling and dreams imbued with tranquillity.”
